Warrior Phase (Evaluations)
The PropShopTrader Warrior Phase is the initial Evaluation on the pathway to becoming a paid trader with our firm. The goal of this phase is to give you an opportunity to show us your preliminary skills towards trading, your strategies, your risk management, and your ability to meet basic account objectives while managing your drawdown.
We currently offer 4 different account sizes for each program, (all with different rules and parameters). You can sign up to these Futures accounts HERE.
It’s common for traders to feel slight pressure during the evaluation phase, especially when it involves reaching certain SIM profit objectives all while staying within their drawdown limits. For this reason, we offer the ability to purchase (for a very small add-on fee) up to two levels of drawdown protection that can act as an additional account buffer should you feel you need this in the Warrior Phase. Drawdown Protection increases the amount of the Trailing Drawdown relative to the standard default option.
Drawdown protection must be purchased in the Warrior Phase in order to have it included with the next Gladiator payout phase. It’s mandatory that if you purchased drawdown protection in the Warrior Phase, you must also purchase it in the Gladiator payout phase. (This is due to all accounts being linked in our risk management back-end from the beginning!)
During your entire time in all phases with PropShopTrader, we permit the use of Trade Copiers and allow for both discretionary trading & automated strategies. Traders are able to trade multiple evaluation accounts at the same time no matter the asset class.
We do this because we want to make sure you’re actually succeeding and progressing as a trader, not just churning accounts. This is a protective measure implemented to help traders avoid emotional gambling patterns.
We allow you the opportunity to have up to 20 Paid Trading Sim Accounts (PTSAs) in the Gladiator Phase, provided you first demonstrate consistent performance and risk management in the Warrior Phase. Our philosophy is that once you prove your ability to manage risk successfully and meet our requirements, we support your growth and encourage you to scale up to the maximum allowed number of accounts.
During the Warrior Phase, the trader has a minimum of 5 days to meet the profit targets of the program. There is no maximum amount of time to meet requirements but the program cost will renew every month. When you pass your warrior evaluation we will automatically cancel your warrior phase subscription. This will ensure you are not charged another payment at the end of your 30 day cycle.
Traders will be given an active platform license of TICKBLAZE which also includes market data. You are also allowed to use any 3rd party supported platform as long as you have an active license for the platform and they are supported by Rithmic, our current market data provider. The main objective of the Warrior Phase, is to pass your evaluation and advance to the Gladiator Phase, where you earn a PTSA (Paid Trading Sim Account) making you eligible for trader payouts. This is your next step to becoming a paid trader with PropShopTrader.

- Trading starts at 6:00 PM EST and all positions must be liquidated by 4:45 PM EST the following day.
