KYC (Know Your Customer) is a verification process used to confirm your identity. It helps us ensure a safe and secure trading environment by preventing fraud and meeting regulatory requirements.
Note:
- You have a total of 3 attempts to complete your verification.
- All accounts must be registered and purchased under the same name as shown on your KYC legal documents. If, at any point, the name on your dashboard (the name you registered and purchased the account with) does not match the name on your KYC documents, your verification will fail.
- Registration Type: If you register as an individual, you must continue to operate as an individual. Similarly, if you register as a business, you must continue to operate as a business. Due to legal and tax implications, we cannot allow any changes to your registration status at any time and you cannot hold both personal and business accounts simultaneously.
- No Multiple Profiles: DO NOT create multiple profiles using different emails. All accounts must be accessed using the same profile to ensure accurate monitoring of your trading performance.
When do I need to complete KYC and how long does it take? #
- Warrior Account: No KYC is required during this phase.
- Gladiator Account (PTSA): KYC is required when transitioning to the Gladiator Account for the first time from your Warrior account or your first Instant Gladiator account. Once completed, it remains valid for 12 months.
KYC verification usually takes 24-48 hours once you’ve submitted all required documents.
How do I complete my KYC with Veriff? #
- Step 1: Submit your information, including your full legal name, date of birth, physical address, government-issued ID, proof of address, and a selfie for facial verification.
- Step 2: Veriff will verify your documents, check your location, and confirm your identity by comparing your selfie with your ID.
- Step 3: Purchase the Gladiator Account (PTSA)
- Step 4: Sign the Gladiator Agreement which you will receive via email from PandaDoc.
- Step 5: Upon successful verification and contract signatures, you’ll receive a confirmation email and gain access to your Gladiator account.
What happens if my KYC is rejected? #
- Temporary Rejection: You will receive an email asking you to resubmit your documents if there are issues (e.g., low-quality scans or mismatched selfies).
- Permanent Rejection: Repeated rejections or flagged fraudulent documents may result in a ban from PropShopTrader services.
Common Rejection Reasons
- Mismatched Selfie: Your selfie doesn’t match the photo on your ID.
- Duplicate Accounts: You submitted the same documents for multiple accounts under different emails.
- Document Forgery: Submitted documents are flagged as tampered or fake.
- VPN Usage: Using a VPN may trigger additional checks, as it can mask your actual location.
How often do I need to complete KYC? #
To ensure ongoing security and compliance, we require an annual KYC renewal if you have an active Gladiator Account (PTSA). This helps maintain the safety of our trading platform. We will send reminders when your KYC is about to expire.
Failure to complete or renew your KYC will restrict access to your Gladiator PTSAs until verification is complete.
